Good news! More and more people quit smoking and the figures have risen up more than ever before. According to the Office for National Statistics, the number of smokers has fallen to 22 percent in ages 16 and above.

The survey was conducted before the beginning of the smoking ban in England in July 2007. The survey says that two-thirds of smokers said they wanted to give up, but 59 per cent said they would find it difficult to go without cigarettes for a whole day.

But the figures are astounding. This means that more and more people are now quite aware of the harm smoking gives to the body. And they are now quite obedient to the lame government warning given by cigarette commercials.

Clearly, cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health.
